Aimi was born in the city of Deva. At age 16 she was already writing songs. At the same time she started a girl band called Puff. The band performed at local events such as proms, concerts and festivals.
Two years later, fresh out of highschool, Aimi moves to Timisoara to study Journalism, but her heart remained at music. She started another band “Hollywood” together with singers Muneer and Celia. Aimi’ s voice stood out and in the year 2010 she recorded the first solo song featuring DJ LLP.
The song “Out of my way” has strong house and dance influences and soon after it’s release Out of my way is the most played song on the radio in the spring of 2010.
The same year DJ Emrah, one of the Turkey’s best DJ’s, recorded with Aimi I love Istambul. The song is a succes in Turkey and openes the door to the international audience.
In 2011 Aimi and DJ Emrah concert in Austria. The song I love Istambul. was a big hit and the name Aimi is now on Austrian playlists.
Aimi’s voice got the attention of the Romanian DJ, Gino Manzotti, and together they start working on a new single Power of goodbye. The song is famous on the Romanian club scene, and the extended version soon followed.
Aimi never stopped writing songs. The songs she writes are sung by one of the most famous romanian bands “Directia 5”.
Music is not a job and not a hobby, it is a way of life. Aimi’s feelings, thoughts and dreams are found in the songs she writes and performs.
“I feel i have something to say to the world, music is my way of comunication” - Says Aimi in an interview.
