The singer was born in the city of Constanta, right next to the Black see. Alexandra had the first music experience at the age of 3. While watching the cartoons “Little Mermaid” she fell in love with music. As a teenager she started singing everywhere, in Karaoke clubs, at school shows and events, and even at Mamaia Festival- a national singing competition. She was noticed by two producers from Maan Studios, who saw in her a real talent.
The first single Lollipop came out in 2009. A fresh pop song, with a house beat that was very popular in the clubs. But this was only the beginning.
In the following year Alexandra hit the radio stations with the song Mr. Saxobeat. The song was an instant success, the most played song on the radio in the first week.
After Romania, Mr Saxobeat was released in Europe, America and Russia. It was no. 1 in Italy, Spain, Turkey and Denmark, and in the top ten of Belgium, France, Norway, Holland, Sweden, Finland and the UK.
The most recent single form Alexandra Stan is Get Back - ASAP has a pop rhythm and house beats. The song created a buzz on the radios, and also on tv with the video that continues the story-line from Mr. Saxobeat.
This summer Alexandra is promoting her singles Get Back and Mr. Saxobeat in concerts around Europe.
