The two parts that make out Deepcentral are : George and Doru. They started working together in the winter of 2006. The two musicians worked on a number of projects but most importantly they were working on what was to become two years later Deepcentral. They released in 2008 the song Cry it away which made top 100 Nielsen in the first week from release.
Russian Girl was released in 2009 and it was a hit not only in Romania but also in Russia. The main style of Deepcentral is dance and popcorn. Encouraged by their label to make music according to their personal style the third song released was an instant success:
In Love is the most played song of 2010. It was number 1 in top 100 Romanian chart and no.1 in the Nielson chart for 7 consecutive weeks. For this they recieved the Special Nielson Award at Romanian Music Awards 2010. Deepcentral was also nominated Best Romanian Act at MTV European Awards. The song was also nominated for Nights Awards for Best Romanian Dance Project.
2010 was a busy year, but the boys at Deepcentral still found time to work with artists like Xonia on the song My beautiful one, and release the fourth single Cocaine.
After touring in Germany, Russia, Italy and the UK the boys returned home to film the video for their latest song I fucked up together with the band “Sistem”. The strong dance rhythm was enhanced by the original sound of barrels that are a trade mark for Sistem.
Deepcentral are some of the best performers in Romania. They amaze their audience with great live shows. Their songs make it impossible to sit still, and the powerful vibe gets everybody dancing.
