Dj Sava is one of Romania’s most important DJ’s. His connection with music started at a very young age and in 1990 he made the first steps as a club DJ. For ten years he mixed in a number of clubs and was present every summer on the Romanian seaside, in clubs like “Tineretului” , “Disco Ring” and “Gossip”.
The DJ is an important guest at all events that include electronic and house music. He opened shows for Tiesto, Tom Novy, John Creamer, Mark Night, Djum Soundsystem and many others.
His first album Love drops was released in 2007. A lot of work and passion were invested in this production. The album is a complete and complex. It contains 14 tracks, featuring artists like Connect-r, Dana Nicula and remixes by Lucian Barbulescu and Raoul Russu.
The album was and still is very popular on the club scene, and three songs were promoted with videos. The song Sunshine featuring Connect-r was a big hit, and held the no. 1 position of the Nielsen Chart (most played songs on the radios) for 4 weeks.
In 2008 Romanian Top Hits declared Sunshine The Best DJ song and DJ SAVA won Best DJ award at the same event.
At the Romanian Music Awards 2008 DJ Sava won Best DJ Hit and was nominated Best DJ and he started a collaboration with the international label Ministry of Sound.
The next year he was nominated twice at the Romanian Music Awards for the song The Reason.
One of the most popular songs of 2010 wears the signature of DJ Sava in colaboration with a sparkling new voice- Raluka. The song I like the trumpet was the hit of the summer in 2010. Number 1 in the Nielsen Chart for 13 weeks, and nominated Best Balkan Song of 2011 at the Balkan Awards.
DJ Sava is always reinventing his style. The elements he combines in his music make an unique sound that is constantly in the top of the charts.
