Inna was born on 16th october 1986, on the Romanian seaside city of Mangalia. From a young age, she dreamed of being a singer. After music lessons came a few small projects, but no real success.
All this would change in 2008 when a new song hit the radio stations. Inna together with Play and Win released the song Hot. The impact was powerful. A few months later Inna - Hot was number 1 in the Nielson chart- most played songs on the radio. The beginning of 2009 held more surprises for the singer. Hot was nominated Best international song at Eska Awards, and she performed on the same stage as Rihanna, Suggarbabes and Lady Gaga. The awards kept on flowing for Inna. At the Romanian Music Awards of 2009 she was nominated Best Dance, Best Debut, Best Show and Border Breaker but most important- she won all 4 awards!
By this time the song was already a hit in most countries of Europe: no.1 in Billboard Dance Airplay Chart, no.1 on Europe NRJ Hot 30 chart and also no.1 in Spain, Holland, Belgium, Bulgaria, U.S.A and Canada.
Hot was a world-wide sensation and changed the history of Romanian dance music, with a total of 240 weeks chart listing in over 15 countries.
The same year Inna released the second single Love and won Jury’s Special Award at Romanian Top Hits in 2009. By the end of 2009 Inna had won Best Artist from Romania award at the EMA (European music awards). The next singles released from the album, Amazing and Deja-Vu, ensured Inna a well grounded place on the International music scene.
Inna’s success is not random. Proof stand 5 awards out of seven nominations at the Romanian Music Awards 2010, and Best Artist from Romania Award at the EMA second years in a row. The same year in September Inna made another step toward world-wide success: the brand new single Sun is up.The first week of release the video hit 1.000.000 views on youtube.com, an incredible result for a Romanian artist. One month later her fan page on Facebook.com had over 1,5 million fans.
The single was released from the album I am the club rocker, and it was listed for 113 weeks on International charts. The song has the same positive fun vibe that Inna transmitted from the first single and so her fan base all over the world increased rapidly. The song that named the album, Club rocker was released with a fresh video in june 2011 and it has a very positive response from the public.
Inna continues to amaze and delight her fans with each new song and each new album.
