If you imagine that the boys Sebastian Barac, Radu Boftea and Marcel Botezan are simply singers.... think again! They are producers and composers and have created hits for Akcent- Kylie, Inna-Hot, Morris, Sistem, 3Sud Est and have a portfolio of over 300 written songs.
Being some of the most successful producers in the country, the boys wanted to be more in touch with the public. In 2007 the band Play & Win was created and the first song signed by them was released in 2008. Slow Motion won the award for the fastest rising song in the Romanian chart at Romanian Music Awards in 2009, and the same year the Radio 21 Award.
Next came other hit songs like Only in 2009 and House music in 2010.
At the Romanian Music Awards in 2010 Play & win were awarded the special prize for Best producers.
In 2011 Play& Win would amaze the audience with a fresh release: YaBB. The song spread faster than anyone expected. It was on heavy rotation on both radio and tv. You can hear it walking down the street in bars, clubs and cars.
The whole country is singing Ya BB Ya BB and the charts prove it: No. 1 in Top 10 Most wanted on radio ZU for 5 weeks, no.1 for two weeks on Pro FM radio and it is the most aired song in the month of july.
YaBB does not come alone but with the band’s first complete album called Change the World, released in June 2011. The surprises keep on unfolding as the boys prepared a video for the song that names the album Change the world. No question about it: it’s going to rock the clubs this summer.
The moto of the band is “we play with music and we always win” . Well... they sure won a place in the music industry and they are here to stay.
